Northampton County’s Environmental Conservation Coordinator (ECC) position was created in 2008. As the County’s first ECC, Thomas Dittmar’s key responsibility is implementing the County’s DEP Solid Waste Plan. The plan’s objectives relate to recycling, waste reduction, yard waste, and composting programs, household hazardous waste, and electronics recycling. Mr. Dittmar assists the County and its municipalities with coordinating and implementing programs, along with conducting educational programs for communities and schools.

PERMITS, LICENSES, & RENTALS:
Moving Permit
Moving permits must be obtained for moving in, out or within the Township. The form is available from the Township office or under the forms section on the Township website.
Grove Rental
The Plainfield Township Farmers’ Grove is available for birthday parties, showers, family reunions, etc. To arrange rental please call the Township office. 610-759-6944
Alarm Licenses and Permits
If you have an alarm system in your home or business, a yearly alarm license is required. Obtaining the license helps keep the Township and Police Department files up to date in case of an emergency.

Alarm permits are required for new alarm systems. Please contact the Township Zoning Officer to obtain a permit prior to installation.

Dog Licenses
All dogs over the age of 3 months must be licensed and vaccinated for rabies.
